* UPDATED 10th June 2000*

June 11th 2000

Wow... an update 2 days in a row!

Today I added a TON of pictures to the Appearances section. I found a huge pile of various appearance pics on the net that I'd never seen before so I thought I'd add them. They're kinda cool... enjoy!

"Picking up the Pieces" had it's television debut last month on Cinemax. It's still in reruns, check your local listings. It had on the whole horrible reviews, except for one in the New York Post. I've posted them all on the pieces site.

I found out yesterday that "The Hollywood Knights" has been re-released on video. I rented it and it's a cheesy teen movie, but nonetheless enjoyable. Very indicative of the teen movies the 80's are renouned for. Also, Fran steals the movie. Check it out if you like...

And finally, and most importantly, this year the cult movie "This is Spinal Tap" (by FAR Fran Drescher's BEST movie) is being re-released, both to theatres and to video/DVD. To go along with the re-release, the studio are planning a huge marketing campaign. This includes an appearance on VH1's The List. The band will appear (in character) and Fran will be hosting, in character, as Bobbi Flekkman, the band's publicist. Check out News for more info...

The Kushner-Locke site has been updated yet again. They seem to be getting serious about Picking up the Pieces, as they've added a new poster and a trailer for the film (which looks great!). No word yet on a distributor.. but when there is an update I will let you know.

In other news, Fran attended a benefit presenting a ribbon for contribution to AIDS and HIV research over the weekend. I added this info to the News section.

February 20th 2000

There has been a huge overhaul at the Kusher-Locke website (the producers of Fran's new movie Picking up the Pieces). They have updated the Pieces site with 2 snapshots. Unfortunately they're not of Fran. Check them out anyway!

Also, Fran was at the premiere of the Jim Carrey movie 'Man on the Moon' a couple of months ago. I added two pictures from that.

December 21st 1999

Sorry for the lack of updates but Fran has been laying low so there hasn't been much to talk about. I've been trying to get the pictures section working properly but I've been busy so it's happening slowly.

There is one piece of news about 'Picking up the Pieces' that I've come across. According to Kushner-Locke the film is STILL in post-production but it will be finished very soon and they hope to shop it around to distributors in January/February.

Fran was also at the premiere of 'Man on the Moon' (the new Jim Carrey movie) so I'll watch ET tonight and see if she's on and if she says anything of interest.

Today I made a couple of minor changes in the Fran News sections design. I've seperated the page into two sections - Fran's Calender and Headline News. This will give you a better organised idea of what's going on. At the moment not much is on the schedule. She appeared at a benefit to honor a singer on Sunday which was co-hosted (along with Fran) by Dan Aykroyd and Howie Mandel, among others. I put a little more info. of that in the Calender.

I've had some emails about the broken links in the pictures section. Some of these links are still being fixed up from the transfer to simplenet. Some may be because Tripod is being nasty and changing their system. I have to get all the pictures off their system ASAP. I could definitely use some help fixing up the Pictures section. If anybody wants to volunteer on that front it would be greatly appreciated.

Finally, tomorrow is Fran's birthday - just for your information. She's 42 years old.
